The first PIQO series of small wind turbines
Netherlands EverkinetIQ international companies and work closely with BASF Corporation, developed the first PIQO series of small wind turbines. This product is to be installed in industrial plants, high-rise buildings, hospitals and other municipal buildings and private homes on top, used to generate electricity. This wind turbine and the well-known large-scale wind turbine is the difference between: a smaller diameter and lighter weight. The first prototype has been installed on buildings in the Netherlands, extensive field testing. EverkinetIQ has gathered sufficient performance data, recent work has been optimized, this product is now ready to market. PIQO wind turbines rugged, compact, very little noise. The company believes that, after use period, the cost of wind power generation will reach the ideal level.
This wind turbines rotor blade using the new BASF subsidiary Styrolution provide 15% glass fiber reinforced ASA (acrylic ester – styrene – acrylonitrile) polymer production, because this polymer has excellent resistance to weather, resistant to ultraviolet radiation, anti-aging and chemical resistance. The radio boxes of the rotor is used not to enhance the production of ASA resin, round frame diameter of about 1.5m. EverkinetIQ company official explained: the smart, affordable and innovative PIQO wind turbines required to use a special high-strength durable plastic, Styrolution materials provided to satisfy the weather and resistant to the stringent requirements of rotational effects.
